THE KUGTAR APPROACH
THE RIGHT STUDENT.
THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT.
THE RIGHT START.
At KUGTAR, we don’t just pick a class from a calendar and start. Because we are a family-run dojo with high standards for our community, we begin every relationship with an observation. This allows you to see the culture and allows our instructors to see the potential student in their natural environment.
The path to membership follows a deliberate sequence: Inquiry, Observation, and if ready, an invitation to a Trial and Evaluation. This process ensures that every enrollment is a placement for success, aligning the student’s goals with the dojo’s standards.
KUGTAR ADMISSIONS
THE NEW FAMILY JOURNEY
Every student’s path is individual, but the process follows the same foundation.
01
INQUIRY
Tell us who the student is and what they are looking for.
02
OBSERVATION
New families normally observe first to understand the dojo and training environment.
03
TRIAL
Qualified students may be invited to trial.
04
EVALUATION
Instructors assess readiness, attitude, and placement.
05
ACCEPTANCE
Admission is determined by the owners/instructors.
06
ENROLLMENT
Accepted families receive the next enrollment steps.

INSIDE THE DOJO
SEE THE CULTURE BEFORE YOU JOIN.
Martial arts is more than technique; it is a standard of discipline, respect, and focus that thrives within the walls of our dojo. We believe you should witness this first-hand.
Observation allows prospective students and families to understand the pace, the energy, and the expectations of a KUGTAR student before ever stepping onto the mats.
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
COME PREPARED.
ARRIVAL
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in at the front desk and meet your instructor before the session begins.

MINORS
Parents must be present for the initial observation and evaluation sessions for all students under 18.
CONDUCT
Respect for instructors, peers, and the dojo space is non-negotiable. We value a focused, hard-working environment.
WHAT TAKES ROOT
MORE THAN JUST TRAINING.
Students learn how to listen, try, adjust, and keep going. That is where confidence begins.
01

NEW FAMILY QUESTIONS
GOOD TO KNOW.
All new families begin by requesting an observation. This allows you to see the training, culture, and environment firsthand before any commitment is made.
HOW DO WE BEGIN?
+
Trials are offered only after an observation has been completed and the instructor has determined the student is ready and a good fit for the program.
DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL CLASS?
+
For an observation, students should wear comfortable, clean clothes. If invited to a trial, detailed attire requirements will be provided.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR FOR THEIR FIRST VISIT?
+
KUGTAR is for families who value discipline, hard work, and high standards. We focus on continuous improvement and character development over casual play.
IS KUGTAR MMA FOR EVERY STUDENT?
+
Enrollment is based on readiness and maturity rather than age alone. We have programs for youth and adults, each with specific development goals.
WHAT IS THE BEST AGE TO START?
+
Following your visit, our team will review the observation and contact you regarding potential trial invitation, placement, or future enrollment.
WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS AFTER OBSERVATION?
