FILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS

ESKRIMA

Eskrima connects KUGTAR to the Filipino martial arts tradition at the roots of Master V’s training. Using controlled weapons practice and partner work, students develop timing, coordination, distance, awareness, and the ability to understand movement from a different perspective.

Training begins with foundational weapon skills while emphasizing control, precision, and respect for the art. The principles extend beyond the weapon itself — teaching students to recognize angles, manage distance, respond with composure, and move with greater purpose.

COMPETITION
TRAINING

READINESS-BASED

Competition training is for students preparing to represent KUGTAR in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Tang Soo Do competition.

The work becomes more specific here. Students sharpen technique, decision-making, composure, conditioning, and the ability to perform under pressure while learning how to prepare with purpose rather than simply train harder.

Participation is readiness-based. Coaches determine when a student is prepared for this level of training and competition.

PREPARE WITH PURPOSE.
